There are many manufacturers that have started to manufacture travel size guitars, this one from Epiphone is in fact a Limited Edition model so for those of you who like the look of this acoustic I wouldn't hang around too long if you're thinking of buying one . The 3/4 sized Expedition travel guitar uses a Spruce top with Mahogany sides and rear plus a Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fretboard. It's worth noting that the headstock and neck are actually to full-size scale and that it's only the body that has been scaled down to three quarter size. The sound doesn't seem to have suffered because of the smaller body size whilst the mix of Spruce and Mahogany give this instrument a nice blend of depth and brightness. The bridge like the fretboard is Rosewood and uses 6 nylon bridge pins for string retention whilst the saddle is compensated for easier playing.
